Advantages
You get 2 to 3 times more value for recharge. If you recharge 400 Naira, you get 400 Plus Bonus 800.
The Original recharge (i.e 400) can be used to call any network in Nigeria while bonus (800) is reserved for MTN to MTN calls only.  The same applies for lower or higher recharge voucher denominations. 

The main account balance (400) can also be used for data BB or normal data subscriptions.
