Fans Tongue-lash Wizkid’s Manager Over Thick Ethnic Accent

Angry fans have taken shots at Wizkid’s Manager, Sunday Are over his heavy Yoruba accent while responding to an interview about the young lady who used Wizkid’s identity to defraud people.

Are, who granted an interview to Hiptv over the arrest of Wizkid’s impersonator, was heavily tongue-lashed by fans when his Yoruba accent became a hindrance to fans understanding what he was saying.

In the video, which is somewhat difficult to understand, the big-shot manager tried to explain that hackers had gotten vital passport and booking information from the StarBoy team’s email and used it to defraud unsuspecting people by impersonating the “eja nla” crooner on numerous occasions dating back to 2013. But Nigerians could not hear beyond his grammar and intonation and the comments proved it.

Arepo: IG deploys policemen, helicopter to flush out vandals

Adelani Adepegba The acting Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, has deployed the Tactical Operation Unit, comprising of the Police Mobile Force, the Counter-Terrorism Unit and the Air Surveillance Team to flush out vandals and other criminal elements operating in Arepo and Ibafo areas of Ogun State. Idris said the deployment of the unit in the areas on Thursday was to ensure that normalcy returns to them in record time. A statement on Friday in Abuja by the Force Public Relations Officer, Don Awunah, quoted the IG as saying that the Nigeria Police Force would not watch any criminal group(s) take law into their hands, adding that he had authorised the team to deal decisively with anyone who constitutes himself as an enemy of the state. Abesan Cup enters s’final stage

Last year’s finalists Rozie FC of Aboru will battle Crystal of Ijeshatedo in one of the semi-final matches of the Abesan Cup at the Keda pitch in Ipaja, Lagos, on Saturday, as they aim to emerge champions of the highly-rated grassroots football competition. The second semifinal is between Golden Boys of Iyana Ipaja and debutants Junioru United of Ijegun. Both games would be preceded by a novelty match between  organisers of the event led by its coordinator, TayoAdeyemo and coaches and team managers of participating teams. The novelty match, which started in 2010, is meant to foster a healthy relationship between organisers and team owners. To reach this stage, Golden Boys edged out Global 3-0 in the quarter-final, while United beat defending champions Onigando Football Academy 2-1.
