lil-kesh-NL
”Shoki”crooner and YAGI CEO, Keshinro Ololade popularly known as Lil Kesh has lamented that the Nigerian music industry is full of unhelpful people.
The singer, who was formerly signed to YBNL, revealed that the music industry is filled with greedy people that are not ready to help anybody, rather they are all searching for their own gains.
He said, ”The basic truth is in this industry, nobody is here to help u, everybody is looking for their own selfish gains, nobody wanst to grow an artiste.
Nobody sees an upcoming star and says ‘’oh i like this boy let me invest in him and see if i can make the world a better place.’’ They have more advantages to it than the artiste so at the end, they give crappy contract and crappy percentage. The truth is nobody is out there to help you.”
The star also talked about not receiving the Headies’ Next Rated Award which caused a huge rift between his then label YBNL and Don Jazzy’s Mavins.
He however claimed he is already over it and does not believe in award committees as politics is a strong vice affecting most of the award committees in Nigeria.
The singer said, “If my son asks me, ‘Dad, why don’t you have an award’, I prefer to tell him, you see that Lamborghini, that’s my award.
